A Call to Action on Winter Warming Centers, December 2023
- Sonoma County’s cold and rain has begun and Homeless Action! is deeply afraid for the life and health of homeless people. We call on the community – churches, non-profits, government agencies and our elected officials – to open public warming centers for those who have no choice but to live outside this winter. Given that winter emergency planning should be completed in October, this call is one of a community emergency. We need the necessary public spaces, staff and public awareness immediately.
